The compact Mammut Barryvox 2 is a full-featured avalanche transceiver designed for backcountry skiers, snowboarders, and mountain tourer safety. With a 70-metre search range and intuitive interface, it guides you through multiple burial scenarios with acoustic and visual cues.

Core safety features include Rescue SEND—a protective function that automatically switches non-searching rescuers to transmit mode in secondary avalanches—and Auto-revert to SEND, which switches from search to send after four minutes of stillness, protecting active searchers. Automatic self-testing verifies transmit and search function on power-up, while Interference Guard minimises signal conflicts in crowded rescue operations.

The intuitive visual display provides clear direction to buried subjects and handles multiple burials with Auto-Select (guides to strongest signal first), marking functions, and reverse direction detection to prevent search errors. Acoustic search guidance keeps your focus on the avalanche field rather than the device.

Compatible with the Mammut Barryvox app for firmware updates, custom configurations, and search training scenarios—so you can drill and prepare before you need it. Includes the Barryvox carrying system for secure, comfortable upper-body mounting. Voice guidance (where available) provides real-time search phase instructions.

• Rescue SEND: Protective function for non-searching rescuers. In the event of a secondary avalanche it automatically switches to SEND to allow the rescuer to be located
• Auto-revert to SEND: safety function for rescuers searching with an avalanche transceiver in the event of a secondary avalanche burial. If a rescuer does not move for four minutes, the avalanche transceiver automatically switches from SEARCH to SEND thanks to a motion sensor.
